CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRISTINA ANDERSON, InCo

Mrs Anderson has been awarded ‘WWF Green Ambassador Teacher Award 2016’ This prestigious National award shines the light on the very best examples of where schools are putting environmental issues at the heart of their school. There was some very stiff competition as there were 60,000 nominations!  The award is well deserved. As well as being out Inclusion Coordinator, Mrs Anderson goes that extra mile, always busy, passionate and enthusiastic inspiring our children, the next generation of sustainability champions! She leads the School ECO Council. Over the years has spread her passion and enthusiasm for nature by developing our spinney, nature trail, meadow, Nursery and Reception gardens by getting lots of people involved within the school and in the wider community. She has fostered links with the RSPB and led initiatives such as WOW Walk Once a Week and our 40th birthday Tree house project.

Mrs Anderson went to the Pioneer Centre in Shropshire to collect her award. Children from Year two (Poppy, Amelie F, Bobby, Bailey, Sophia and Emily) Mr Robinson and Mr Reader enjoyed a variety of adventurous activities including a 10m high zip wire and a night time woodland walk.
